Your Pet's Story

Thank you so much for sharing! Brought a tear to my eye. I can tell Edgar was deeply loved.

Your Pet's Story:

Edgar was adopted by my now husband , Nick. Before we got together. Edgar and Leo were from the same litter. When we moved in together I brought my kitty Maui. So we were now the parents of 3 boys.

Edgar was everyone’s favourite. He had big giant eyes. Was so friendly to everyone. He was very chatty and loved belly rubs. He would play fetch and lay on your feet while you cooked. He was always purring and always purred so loud!

Edgar had health struggles for about a year before he passed. We did our best to keep him happy and comfortable. When we brought him to the emergency vet for the first time they told us we should put him down asap. But Edgar was still just as cuddly and happy and was eating just like normal. So we waited. We got tests done to see what was going on but never got anything conclusive. About a year later he started to go down hill again. After overnights at the hospital and seeing our happy fat boy get weaker and weaker we decided it was time to say goodbye. It was the hardest decision we’ve ever made.  We spent the morning together laying out in the grass. He was surrounded by his favourite people and fur brothers. Even at the very end he was purring so loud. We miss him every day.
